Cordoba - Villa Carlos Paz

I got to Cordoba, AR on Jan 9 and hopped on a bus to Villa Carlos Paz because I heard the place was awesome. I´ll spend tomorrow (10th) here in Cordoba. When I got to Carlos Paz I found a hotel near the station. At Hotel San Jose there is no A/C and the room was very small. Also they have bedees over here, I dont know how to spell that, but you get me, I didnt use it I brought good ol´ toilet paper.

In Carlos Paz, there were a lot of students because everyone is on vacation. At night I had dinner and went strolling thru the pedestrian street in el centro. There were a lot of people sitting out in bars drinking, eating, and having fun. There were also a lot of entertainers in the streets performing live art, magicians, and singers. I saw a local radio station broadcasting from the street and sent a shoutout. The chic was cute and she interviewed me, I gathered a crowd and people knew me and where I was from. That was really cool.

I spotted a singer/songwriter and his son performing live on a little stage next to the river. I spent about 1hr listening to them perform, and they were good. I bought their 5cd collection on an MP3 disc. Then I went to a bar and chilled there til late hanging out with different people. Some that had heard me on the radio. They called me, "El Mexicano"!

The next day, I went to the beach on the river and just started to write and reflect. The water was really cold and clear, the current was not bad and it was peaceful. There were a lot of families BBQ-ing by the river. It reminded me of when my family did that when we were vacationing or on Easter.

I took the bus back to Cordoba and now I am waiting for my tour to begin thru Cordoba Historico, I will be walking thru the historic places near the city center. I might leave tonight for Mendoza and sleep there it is Jan 10.

Later

El Mexicano!
