Its been fun!!!
Wow! I left Rio de Janeiro on the 4th of Jan. I did not want to leave, especially the hostel I stayed at. It was like I became part of them. The last night I was there we went to a Fohrro club at 11pm and did not get back to the hostel `til aroung 430am. Rene, a dutch guy working at the hostel, asked me and Alex, a black dude from England, if we wanted to go party some more and see some girls, we said, "Hell Yeah!!!" He was already drunk when he asked us, and was still going. At the club we were the VIP people, we didnt have to stand in line or nothing like that. Fohrro dance is awesome, I met two girls, one spoke English and the other spoke Spanish. The Spanish speaking one was very pretty, she and I danced some salsa to the Fohrro rhythym, we also danced Fohrro. She was telling me that she loved salsa and merengue...so I took the chance to show her some of my moves, and we turned some heads! The English speaking one was cute too and we danced and talked for a long while...I´ve learned one thing...Rio people love to make out! Even if you´re not dating people just dancing make out!!!
I had to be up by 7am that morning to eat breakfast, gather my things, pay my bill, and get to the bus station by 9am for the bus to Sao Paulo leaving a 930am. Well, since I wanted to party some more with crazy Rene I ended up getting to the hostel at 720am. I decided to take a little nap to recuperate, bad idea. When I got there, I asked the security guard to wake me up at 8am. Muthaluva didnt!!! I woke up at 10am! I missed my bus and could possibly have to pay again! I got my things, paid, and said by to all the friends I had made at the hostel, especially, Thais, she is awesome and very beautiful.
When I got to the station, I made up a good story to the informaton booth and they actually helped me out by adding more to the story and got the ticket exchanged. The bus was very comfortable. It was a bed bus, the seats recline and are very cushony and relaxing, they even give you a snack and provide water and coffee throughout the trip.
When I got to Sampa, what the locals call Sao Paulo, I went directly to the hotel, D´s friend Alice, had told me to stay at. I was really tired and didnt have anything to eat, I went straight to bed. Next morning, I had some cafe com leite, coffee with milk, and toured the city. Sampa reminds me of an up-and-coming New York City. It has its own China Town, which has the worlds hightest population of Japanese, other than in Tokyo. The sushi is great as well and not that expensive. I visited the Museo de Arte de Sao Paulo, the Pinacoteca, the Parque da Luz, and the Museo da Lingua Portuguesa. They were all awesome places.
On the 6th, I got on another bus to Foz do Iguaçu, on the Brazilian side, which is the Iguazu Falls. This is where Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina meet at the Parana River and the Iguaçu River coming together at an amazing point, The Devil´s Throat. I will put up the pics later, this café doesnt have usb ports.
I arrived on the 7th at 5am, 16 hr ride. The lady next to me was very annoying and wouldnt stop moving in her seat, which was actually my seat! She finally moved to another seat because I had the music too loud apparantly, F*** you lady! I got the seat all to myself. I took a cab to Puerto Iguazu on the AR side and spent 2 hrs looking for a hostel. There were none.
Hannah and Kahli, the NZ and the AS, were also at Puerto Iguazu, and we had decided to meet up because we had fun in Rio. We met up at the falls. We rode back on the bus together and we met up for a fantastic dinner. I had one of the best steaks in my life, and we bought a bottle of Mendoza wine, which really brought out the taste of the steak. We had an awesome time and said bye to each other once more because they were heading to La Paz, BO and I was heading to Cordova at night.
I stayed at the Peter Pan hostel in Puerto Iguazu. Analilia, the lady from the hostel, was gorgeous. She was in her early 30s or mid 30s, well guys you know how I love older women. I also met, Fabio an Italian dude living in AR for 1yr, Santiago a dude from Patagonia, and Tammy a chic from Cali living in Chile teaching English. We had a good talk, drank, and smoked a few cigs. In the morning, I left on a tour to the biggest dam in the world, Itaipu, also went to Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, and to the Brazilian Falls. The Brazilian falls was not what I expected, I should have done this before going to the AR side, because they blow this one away! I did meet Isidora, a very gorgeous Brazilian chic that spoke English and lived in a city close to Iguaçu, called Cascabel. She was very very very beautiful, and we took a picture.
I also met a Mexican girl from Tabasco who was on the last leg of her 40 day trip thru South America, she was traveling alone as well.
I arrived in Cordova and headed straight to Carlos Paz, where I am writing from now. CP is an awesome place. I wish I could share this with my chic, if I had one. It is a romantic town, with very picturesque scenes and a great nightlife, especially now that all the students from Cordova are here on vacation. Tonight I leave to Mendoza, where more than 75% of AR wines, especially Malbec, are produced. I will rent a bike and tour the bodegas, drinking heavily some great wine.
Well that is all for now...I dont want to write a book...but maybe I should.
The BR women are beautiful, the AR are more, I cant wait to see the Colombian, and Venezuelan women! GDD, I might not come back, jk. Send me to do some inventory to BR, please, I can somewhat speak Portuguese now.
